Country Cottage, West Yorkshire

The first floor of a three-bedroom former weaver's cottage was reconfigured to form a luxurious master bedroom suite with dressing room and study. Two existing bedrooms were enlarged and refurbished and a house bathroom was created in a former study. On the ground floor, the living room and dining room decor was updated. For a contemporary, sophisticated take on a traditional country cottage, tones of grey, green and heather were employed in the master bedroom. Jura limestone was combined with dark and light oak and bold bronze sconces to lend an opulent feel to the bathrooms. As part of a new panelled wall, glazed doors were placed between the master bedroom and dressing area to draw light into the room and give glimpses of the valley beyond.
